The Philadelphia Zoo’s 42-acre Victorian garden is home to more than 2,500 animals of 350 different species, many of them rare and endangered. This popular attraction allowed Zoo guests to rise to heights of 400 feet, overlooking giraffes, zebras, polar bears and more of the Zoo’s majestic wildlife. From above the treetops, guests can enjoy spectacular, one-of-a-kind views of Fairmount Park, Center City and the Zoo itself.
The Philadelphia Zoo’s annual Global Conservation Gala brings together more than 500 passionate supporters to become the Zoo’s largest fundraiser to date. This unforgettable event helps the Zoo showcase the work, energy, and commitment of remarkable people who are making a world of difference here and around the globe.
Keematee, in Hindi, means precious—avaluable treasure to be cherished and protected. The Keematee Trust was established to honor those whoushered America’s first zoo through the most critical time in its history(March 1, 2020 – February 28, 2021) with philanthropic gifts totaling $25,000or more. Philadelphia Zoo graciously recognizes the following donors for theirgenerosity. Constructed of 1/4" aluminum plate with a black surface print, this life-sized plaque depicts sloth bear cub, Keematee, and her mother, Kayla, sharing a tender moment during COVID-19 when the Zoo was closed to the public.

Various campaign materials promoting the Philadelphia Zoo’s 2010 summer seasonal theme, Creatures of Habitat, were created. The highlight of this temporary exhibit was a life-sized polar bear built out of 95,000 Legos®, weighing 500 lbs. and taking 1,100 hours to build. Interest in this very successful 3-D experience was so popular, the exhibit was packed up and “borrowed” by several other zoos across the country over the years.

For over 30 years Boo at the Zoo has been a wildly popular annual event that has grown from one wicked weekend to encompassing three fun-filled, spooktacular weekends in October. Predicting attendance numbers offers a hilarious opportunity for Zoo employees to compete in the annual Boo at the Zoo Office Pool. I have yet to win.
Four times a year the Zoo publishes its highly anticipated members-only newsletter. Offering its members first dibs on insider stories and animal information, new exhibits, births, passings, etc. — all the newest happening at the Zoo! This logo was designed to morph along with the featured cover photo/image.

Held on Zoo grounds on July 3 for the past few years, this 5K Fun Run raises money that goes directly to the care, feeding, and enrichment activities of the animals that live at the Zoo.
